Compact sealed-box speaker from famous USA manufacturer, Acoustic Research AR
These AR28s model woofers are new restored replacement 8" AR drivers.
Tweeter is a 1" dome with square tweeter surround similar to the big brother AR98LS's combined assembly.
The crossover is minimal, just a single capacitor and an air coil inductor. We may upgrade to a new polypropylene type capacitor and add new fast, silver tweeter connection wire. Both woofers have new high-compliance foam surrounds.
Cabinets are generally good with minor repairs ongoing, and they come with their original grilles, NRPavs may choose to replace the cloth with dark brown to match the new AR98LS grilles in due course.
Tight and punchy sound, designed to work best up against a wall. These 2-way speakers will also function well as main speakers, but we suggest that in combination with either our AR94, or AR98LS model fronts, they would make an excellent 70's style home theatre set.
