A powerful, compact two-way loudspeaker recommended for use on bookshelves or rigid stands
The AE200 are a typical AE design metal cone mid-bass drive unit with a high quality 25mm alloy dome tweeter
Can be biwired to gold plated connectors
The cabinet is a fully braced low resonance construction using 18mm MDF throughout with twin flared front firing reflex ports
The new 200 series has been developed from the highly successful 100 Series loudspeakers and follows AE's renowned achievements in setting new industry standards of excellence in purity of high fidelity sound reproduction and value for money
The new 200 Series utilises metal cone bass / mid drive unit technology, as proven in AE's Reference Series, and in addition features high quality alloy dome tweeters. Unlike conventional paper or plastic cones, the rigid anodized alloy cone in the bass/mid driver is extremely rigid ensuring pure piston action and therefore able to accurately track the amplified signal without distortion
Their unique design also ensures that the limiting 'thermal compression' effects of temperature rise in the voice coil are eliminated
Coupled with the use of audiophile quality UPOCC internal wiring in all 200 Series loudspeakers, these features culminate in providing exceptional clarity, transparency, dynamics and power handling
